I’m Aubrey Gross

When I call myself a writer, marketer, and storyteller, I’m not just pulling words out of thin air in a desperate effort to make myself sound cooler than I am (because, seriously, we writers aren’t necessarily the coolest kids on the block—but we can be the most interesting). I call myself those things because I am those things. My first love was words, and it’s a love that thus far has managed to last a lifetime. To hear my mom talk, I was pretty much born telling stories, but I’m pretty sure I waited until I was at least six months old to start wowing the world with my epic imagination and offbeat sense of humor.

My love of storytelling and words led me to writing, but also to marketing. There’s something to be said for the challenge that is figuring out what someone needs before they know they need it—and then convincing them of that fact. There’s also an immense feeling of satisfaction that comes with educating people, whether it’s on cybersecurity, the latest and greatest in app development, SEO best practices, employees on internal company happenings, or the general public on the importance of organ donation. Just like everyone has a story, every company has a story. And I love telling it. 

I’ve spent the majority of my career in the non-profit and corporate worlds, and have experience writing and editing for educational, marketing, and technical publications. That being said, I’m also a published author, and have done freelance work in the past for Heroes & Heartbreakers, which was a romance novel review blog run by MacMillan Publishing (MacMillan shut it down a couple of years ago).

Words (and dogs, coffee, and my husband) are my life. I would love to help you bring your company’s story to life.

I write for individuals, big & small companies, videos, printed publications, blogs, and even apps. I’ve been known to help companies build their content strategy, drive SEO, and create a website or two.
